You can literally feel good about buying our shirts. They don’t come from a sweat shop and the inks are better for the environment. We also print a number of our products when they’re ordered, creating a unique product just for you, reducing inventory and waste.

Shelter Swag uses vegan, water-based inks that are free of harmful chemicals. Most silk-screened shirts are made using plastisol ink, which is made from PVC giving your shirt designs that thick, vinyl feel. Not only are phthalates potentially harmful to human health, they’re also released into our ecosystem during the printing and curing process, resulting in cumulative harm to our environment.

Shelter Swag looks out for workers as well. We purchase apparel from brands that are made in W.R.A.P. certified factories, adhere to Fair Labor Association guidelines and meet a workplace code of conduct. We work to ensure all the products we sell meet ethical and fair-labor practices and try to offer more eco-friendly options and packaging. We want to make sure that everyone involved in the process of making our products has integrity with regard to their employees and the environment. Shelter Swag wouldn’t have it any other way – and we know you agree.

When your shirt has lived a good life, feel free to rip it up, use it for rags or as Lil’ Roo enjoys, as a cat toy! (We just tie a ripped T-shirt strip to a string and Lil’ Roo is happily running around the Shelter Swag studio giving us content for the social media posts he is supposed to be creating.)

And Hygge, our Quality Control Supervisor, wanted to let you know that items shipped from our Florida studio are in 100% recycled mailers… so you may find an orange cat hair or two on your swag. That just means Hygge has given it his paw of approval!
